See your doctor: Pain and a lump in the testicle is very concerning. I would recommend you see your doctor as soon as possible. You may need to be seen by a urologist to assess the lump. You may need an ultrasound.

A lump with or without pain is concerning. A 26 year old male is in the age range that makes the concern for testicular cancer a very real concern.

See doc: If you have a lump and pain in your testicle, you need to see a doc to have it examined and potentially have an ultrasound of it to determine the nature of it. You are in an age group that requires serious attitude to these findings, so don't delay your doc's visit.

Unfortunately, without ultrasound it's hard to tell what else it could be. A hematoma (blood collection resulting from trauma, an infected cyst, a spermatocele and so on...)

cancer may or may not be painless. If it involves a neighboring nerve, it may be painful.
