A member asked:

Is hpv and genital warts two different things?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HPV causes warts...: Hpv (human papillomavirus) is a dna virus that infects the skin and mucus membranes (cervix, vagina, vulva, penis, perianal skin, anus, mouth, throat). It is most often spread through sexual contact. Some people with hpv develop warts that are triggered by the virus. Some people can also develop precancerous and cancerous growths caused by hpv.
