Likely nl papilla: There are rather larger glandular papilla near the top of the base of the tongue. They form a line with a slightly V shape. These are often confused as a problem but are normal findings. I can think of no way any form of HPV would form bumps at that location. In immune defective individuals like those with HIV the warts can sometimes show up at the margin of the lips (outside the mouth).
