A member asked:

What does bone infection look like?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Osteomyelitis: This usually produces pain over the area of bone involved, often fever and other signs and symptoms of inflammation. Diagnosis is best made by biopsy and culture, but the presence of osteomyelitis (bone infection) may be suspected clinically and supported by imaging studies, including ct, MRI and nuclear scans.
