Bone infection: It is not usual for an infection in the bone to heal itself. Treatments vary widely. Infections in the bone first of all may be difficult to diagnose. Then deciding the time frame -- acute, subacute or chronic-- assists the group of physicians in deciding what the best treatment plans to offer. Patient involvement is very important in the development of the treatment plan. Seek a medical opinion.
