Possible, not likely: Taking a pain medication for a specific episode of acute pain, e.g. Following surgery, does not usually result in "addiction" someone who is addicted typically has both physical dependence and psychological dependence, and will engage in inappropriate drug seeking behaviors.. Addiction and physical dependence are not the same thing. However, it is wise to be conservative with the t3's.

Long term?: Tylenol (acetaminophen) #3 should never be used for more than 5-7 days for dental procedures, Addicition would occur only with very long term use.
