Dental visit: Antibiotics control the infection around an abscessed tooth, but not the infection within the tooth. The dead or deteriorating nerve material needs to be removed from the tooth for the antibiotic to be totally effective.

See DDS stop issue: Teeth don't self repair see your dds and take care of the issue. The antibiotics are a temporary hold!

Dentist ASAP: Sometimes need another antibiotic. Sometimes root canal, extraction or incision and drainage. See DDS ASAP. May need referral to oral surgeon.
