Depends: Since no one knows the cause of sarcoid-we are not sure-but it is likely genetically there is defect in immunity which "could" be inherited at about the rate of 15-20% among brothers and sisters in a family sarcoid, itself, is not considered a "contagious" disease. However it has been transmitted via organ donation in other words, a patient with sarcoid donated an organ and the recipient got sarc.
