How do i stop root canal pain? thought it was gone when canal finished?

Patience: Often, a tooth will be tender/sore after having a root canal. This can last several days or more, especially if the tooth and tissues surrounding the tooth's root were in bad shape before the root canal. The root canal takes care of the cause of the problem, but the surrounding tissues still need time to heal. If it lasts more than a few days or so, see the treating dentist.

See dentist: Pain should start to dissipate within a week. If not, see endodontist for re-evaluation.
