I have had a metallic taste in my mouth for over a year, i thought it was dental related, but i had deep cleaning, root canal but still have metallic taste. only thing i can think of is my thyroid levels were off last time i had blood work?

Metallic taste often caused by bleeding. You report "deep cleaning." That's a step in the right direction. But ifnyour gums become inflamed from not flossing or using WaterPik DAILY, and/or from not brushing 2 full minutes by the clock twice daily, gingival bleeding can recurr. "See your General Dentist or a specialist Periodontist.
