Should be: I do not know if there is a "law" requiring it but i'll tell you 2 things: 1. All centers i know of will send a report to the doc and a letter to the patient stating it was ok. 2. Never, ever assume any test is normal because you did not get a notification. It is ultimately your health and your responsibility. Best to you.

Not law but standard: It's not a law but a requirement for the facility to be accredited. You should receive a letter with explanation. >"mammography facilities are required to provide patients with written results of their mammograms in language that is easy to understand. Also known as a "lay report.".
