Happens: There is some discomfort (the word we doctors like to use instead of, "pain") that a woman can experience after a mammogram as a result of the compression of the breast. Compression is important to thin out the tissue and separate portions of the breast. Some achiness may well occur after the procedure. It is for a good cause.
