Depends: The type of surgery required to correct your zgomatic arch fracture will depend on where the fracture is and any other bones involved. An isolated arch fracture can often be reduced by elevating the fracture through a small incision inside the mouth in the tissues between the cheek and upper jaw. A more significant fracture may require multiple approaches and the use of bone plates and screws.

Talk to your MD: Non-displaced isolated zygomatic arch fractures may need nothing more than avoidance of further injury or pressure to the site. If jaw movement is restricted or fracture is displaced then you will need elevation of the fracture from a remote incision either in the hairline or from inside the mouth. See a reconstructive surgeon, omfs or ENT surgeon for appropriate advice.
