YES: The eustachian tube connects the inner ear to the oropharynx (back of the throat). Its putpose is to equalize pressure on the ear drum. It is above the tonsil but can be affected by swelling with tonsil surgery. It should settle down within a few days if this is your problem. Your surgeon should be able to confirm your problem during a follow up visit.
