Aspiration: If he continues to cough non stop and run a possible fever have him checked out at the er.

Lately Ive had a deep sounding cough, and it feels like theres fluid in my throat/lungs possibly. I swallow often, and I feel like Ive been swallowing spit a lot, could this be causing this cough and feeling like theres fluid?
I just took some cough medicine and apparently I didn't swallow well and it caused a coughing fit and felt like my lungs were closing up. Every time I breath in through my nose it causes irritation in my throat and I cough again. Possibly aspirated?
