Start with: A psychiatrist, he may need help with anxiety and insomnia. He will likely need sedation for any dental work so call an office and see what they recommend. I would find a psychiatrist first though to evaluate and treat the sleep issue. Good luck.

Sedation: Contact your local or state dental society to find a dentist who specializes in 'special needs' patients and/ or has hospital privileges. Also may check with the closest dental school. These dentists often provide treatment in the hospital setting under sedation if needed. Also, they frequently have special training to adapt treatment to the special needs of the patient. Good luck.
