A member asked:

Can an anti-epileptic drug be taken in pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Seizure control is important if mom is to remain healthy in pregnancy. Some anti- seizure meds have more potential harmful effects on baby than others. If you are considering pregnancy, you should share your concerns with your dr/ob-gyn and or neurologist. Changing from your regular med may accommodate your plans and reduce risk.
