Some folks with genetic variations are unable to modify basic folate and provide the chemical reactions necessary to make it fully biologically active (MTHFR alleles). Therefore, if you can find a reliable product that contains methylated folate, it should be quite adequate. Do follow blood levels for your anti-epileptic drugs.
