Hi,can i take folic acid from health stores instead of on prescription for pregnancy with epilepsy?

Some folks with genetic variations are unable to modify basic folate and provide the chemical reactions necessary to make it fully biologically active (MTHFR alleles). Therefore, if you can find a reliable product that contains methylated folate, it should be quite adequate. Do follow blood levels for your anti-epileptic drugs.
