A member asked:

At appmnt for sonohysterogram, tech does tvs first then says fluid in my uterus made polyp show clearly & no need for shg. is this correct or lazy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely: At age 50, the hsg wasn't being performed to see if tubes were open due to fertility concerns, thus if only trying to see if there was a lesion in the cavity, it seems as if the tech did find a lesion. Likely your doctor will perform a hysteroscopy to see it clearly and remove it. Make sure you are clear and like your doctors plan for care.
