No: Essex retainer can not cause craze line wear and tear, clinching and grinding can cause these line just watch.

Won't damage teeth : Your essix retainer will. To cause craze lines in your teeth. I can't tell you what is going on but this is something that needs to be seen by your dentist or orthodontist to determine what is causing these craze lines.

No: When waiting to get implant restorative phase or phase 2, your only other option would be to get a flipper. Your crazed lines, greenstick fractures and cracks were most likely there due to prior bruxism and the attrition is due to heavy forces, not simply from taking essex in and out.

Definitely, no: Craze lines are super common and braces or any type of retainers Essix included may cause or do anything to make them worse.

No, but...: Essex retainers do not damage tooth enamel. If you are seeing a change in the appearance of your teeth go back immediately to whoever made the retainer for a status check.
