Thyroid shield?: I'm not sure what you're asking. I'm guessing you need radioactive iodine therapy. I 133 is primarily a beta emitter, which has a very short range. It's not necessary to shield the thyroid if you're receiving therapy. The doctor or health physicist will explain the necessary safety precautions.

Prescription only: It's not available over the counter, only by prescription. And don't fall for labelled meds that imply they are similar. They aren't. Call your doctor's office and let them know you're running out of the med and perhaps they will call in enough to get you until your visit.

No: Armour thyroid is by prescription only. I advise asking the doctor who prescribed it previously to at least authorize another refill until your next visit. If for some reason that is not possible then find a doctor who can see you before your current supply runs out! i advise taking enough armour to bring your free T3 (liothyronine) into the upper half of the normal range, even it that makes your TSH "low.".

NO need Rx: Armor thyroid is called natural thyroid as it is from pig's thyroid gland containing t 4 &t3 vs synthetic most commonly used ones , action is same with both , just choice . You need to adjust dose need close monitoring , so you need to see your doctor. If you want armor thyroid extract ask your doctor , it has slightly higher incidence of allergy .Will rx you.

No: Armour thyroid is a prescription medication & therefore requires a prescription for purchase. How do you know you need a higher dose? If you're about out, just call your doctor's office & ask for a 30d refill. If you feel you need a higher dose, ask for a blood test (TSH) while on your current dose before your visit so that results will be available to discuss.

Armoire thyroid dose: Armoire thyroid is a medicine issued with a prescription and though your impression that you need a larger dose could be correct it should be changed under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner with due regards to your age, other comorbidities, your physical and mental health medicines are only safe when safely prescribed and adequately supervised.

Need prescription : Pls ask your dr for a refill, I am sure he can give you one as you have a ffup scheduled. Don't attemp to adjust dose by yourself, your dr needs to do this using your most current thyroid function tests vas well as your symptoms.

Armor: Thyroid is an old alternative (porcine dried thyroid) use for long long time before the synthetic thyroid drugs became available. It is a prescription drug!. I suggest contact your pharmacist who should call the prescribing doctor and replenish the needed drug. Do not skip the medication. The pharmacist should help if you can't get an earlier appointment with ur dr.

Hard to know: This is generally a prescription medication, but the pharmacist may extend you consideration until the time of your scheduled doctor's visit. This is quite variable. You could also call the doctor's office to change the prescription.

I do not think: You buy armored thyroid with out prescription . It is a hormone and if not regulated it could be dangerous . The dose is higher than the other thyroid preparation like levothyroxine but it will not make it any safer

Prescription med: You need to call the doctors office and see if they will order the lab needed to document a need for a higher dose, and if already done, increase the dose before the visit. Medications that are strong enough to do good things are also strong enough to do bad things if used in the wrong way. That is why the require prescriptions.

Needs prescription: Thyroid hormone (in all its forms) is a prescription medication. You may be able to get a prescription refill by calling your doctor and asking for it - a blood test of your thyroid level may be helpful too. The test can be ordered over the telephone.
