Yes: Alert the technologist who will perform the exam that you have implanted metal. They will tailor the exam to best answer the clinical question. Most implanted metal for medical purposes is mr-compatible. Metal-artifact reduction sequences (mars) can be performed which vary by the site, but usually employ t1 and inversion recovery sequences to reduce metallic susceptibility artifact. Good luck!
