I have to take a hair follicle drug test next week. i found out yesterday i have covid and not even thinking about it took some vicks nyquil cold and flu liquid caps last night to help me sleep through the sickness. will this cause me to fail?

Many common meds can cause a false positive for Opiates. these include: Dextromethorphan (cough syrup), Diphenhydramine (benadryl), Doxylamine (sleep aids), Tramadol (Ultram- pain reliever), Quietapine (seroquel- antidepressant), Levofloxacin/Ofloxacin (antibiotics). You should notify the testing agency if you have recently taken these meds.

Check with the lab doing the test. They will know which method they are using.
