Not always: Seizure related memory difficulties can be a result of the seizures themselves, a side effect of the seizure medications, or an indirect side effect of the medication such as a vitamin deficiency. I would recommend that you have your memory followed sequentially by neuropsychological testing. This would be your best way to gauge your progress, as different treatment modalities are tried. Otherwise unfortunately there is no one answer for your question. It is different for everybody. Best wishes to you.
