A partnership: It is your choice. Without knowing the specifics of your case, the best case scenario would be for you to have a thoughtful discussion with your health care provider so that a treatment plan could be decided upon that would be both therapeutic and amenable to you. That being said, you get to decide your treatment. Sometimes a 2nd opinion can be helpful. I hope you work this out.
