Symptomatic relief -: Not stopping it. Cold tips: for sore throat – gargle with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8 oz of water). * for congestion – saline nose drops or a neti pot. *for anti-inflammatory effect & mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.**for hydration- lots of water. Try clear broth. * add honey & a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea.

Boost immunity: If you're fighting off an incipient infection you should try to boost your immune function by eating well, avoiding sweets, getting adequate sleep/rest & minimizing stress. Since your vit d level is low you could take more- 10, 000 iu/day until it gets up to 50! vit a, c & zinc & herbs like astragalus & echinacea can boost immune function. Umcka (pelargonium sidoides)may help: http://bit.Ly/1f6rjci.
