Possibly: CRP is very nonspecific even though the name is 'highly specific.' typically it is more associated with vascular inflammation but there is some data that could mean airway inflammation. It depends on context i guess.

Not reversible: Hs CRP is a measure of inflammation and can be high in sepsis, inflammatory lung diseases. When there is an inflammation occurring in a patient with COPD it will be high, but should never be used to establish a diagnosis of copd.
