A member asked:

I, (25 f) just got my blood results back, my hs-crp was excessively high at 15.1 what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High sens CRP: High-sensitivity CRP is promoted by some as a test for determining a person's risk level for CVD, heart attacks, and strokes. The current thinking is that hs-CRP can help in evaluation before a person develops one of these health problems. Trials that involve measuring hs-CRP levels are underway in an effort to better understand its role in cardiovascular events, but it is a non-specific index.
