1st, Do no harm: As long as patient isn't on a blood thinner, which might cause bruising, needling that area has little potential side-effects. It is harder to believe that accupuncture won't work consider it is used to provide pain relief during a cesarian section, and surgical removal of thyroid. It has a powerful effect. Not understanding where tylenol (acetaminophen) works doesn't stop us from using it.
