Some leakage : Some leakage is the norm. This is nothing to worry about. Your cardiologist will keep an eye on this . You will have periodic echocardiograms (maybe every year or more) to follow this. What you do not need to do is fixate on this and worry yourself to death! you are better - enjoy this! hope this helps!

Mitral valve: Mitral repair usually is not perfect, but then neither is normal mitral valve function. A little bit of mitral regurg is often seen on echo in many of us, post repair it isnot unusual to have some but lots less than caused the surgery. Generally it isnot problematic.
