Valve leakage: Valve leakage is usually due to disease of the valve itself or the structures it is attached to. None to minimal leakage means that repair surgery had good results and is likely to have good longterm prognosis. You should be followed by your cardiologist. Uncontrolled high blood pressure may worsen mitral regurgitation.
