A member asked:

My friend has fever blisters all over her mouth, could it be hand, foot, and mouth disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: A number of things can cause blisters all over the mouth including a number of viruses (including herpes but also many others) and also stress (causing aphthous ulcers). Hand/foot/mouth disease is much more common in infants and in all people generally resolves on it's own after a few days.
