A member asked:

Over just a few weeks, my bp has gone from its usual 122/76 to 145/80. what might cause this? (pulse, 60s, unchanged. runner for 32 yrs.hdl=94, ldl=60)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High BP: Don't worry about one isolated reading. I suggest you to record your BP two times daily for a week and see. If it is persistently elevated then you have to consult your physician. Don't check your BP immediately after running or after facing any emotional disturbance or any exertion etc. It should be a resting bp.
