Yes, it does: The total cholesterol is: LDL + HDL + TG/5. In this case, that would be 124 + 102 + 40/5 = 124 +102 + 8 = 234. Numbers are just numbers, without much meaning unless we look at the whole picture. That said, an HDL (known as good cholesterol) level of 102 is high and is generally a good thing.
