If released by surg: If your surgeon who did your prolapse repair has released you to return to usual activity, then it is certainly fine to go to the gym. Gabapentin doesn't preclude weight training or aerobic exercise. Your nerve pain might be made worse if the exercises you choose are traumatic to the nerve, so be careful how much stress you put on the area of pain. Often exercise helps nerve pain, so"just do it!".
