my eye has been ozzing thick clear fluid now on 3rd day. what is most likely causing this? will it go away on its own or do i need treatment?

Maybe and maybe: Thick clear eye discharge could represent several possible conditions. Only with an in-person exam could you get an accurate diagnosis and the appropriate treatment. Best wishes.

Conjunctivitis: Your symptoms may be related to an eye infection or allergy. If you don't notice any other symptoms, you can try artificial tears regularly for a few days. If it doesn't get better or if it worsens, see your eye doctor right away.
