A member asked:

Cortisone test. what are they testing me for? anything serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adrenal function..: The adrenal glands--tiny glands sitting on top of your kidneys--produce the glucocorticoids, (so we call "coritisone"). If there is suspicion that your adrenal glands are not functioning well, the test is done to determine/confirm that...The levels fluctuate depending on time of day and thus using medication and testing at certain time help determine their functions... Good luck.
