This may be "male: Pattern Baldness". In men it's usually a combination of testosterone's effect on the hair follicles and genetics. Women who have this condition may have either an autoimmune reaction to a patch of hair (alopecia aeriata) or a reproductive hormone imbalance . If you put your hair in a tite pony tail or bun, possibly that could contribute. Please see a doctor! Dr. Anne
