I am wondering if its normal to feel pretty severe pain during a cortisone injection. everything says cortisone flare starts 6 hours after but i was in bad pain when getting the injection. is this normal? (shot went into my facet joint in spine?

It could happen especially if your doctor did not mix corticosteroid with lidocaine.
