Probably not: But the decision will be made by the oral surgeon. The concern is that thrush does not usually occur in a normal adult. You should have your immune system checked carefully and also be tested for hiv. Good luck.

Oral candida : Infection usually occurs as a result of taking antibiotic, steroids, or both, or w immune system issues. Treat w rx antifungals. Depending on the situation, some oral surgery would be delayed for a few days while gaining control of the thrush issue. Other procedures might not be affected at all, certainly if the anti fungal therapy is initiated in conjunction w the surgery. Ask ur surgeon.

Depends: If it is elective surgery it is typically better to clear up the fungal infection prior to having the surgery. If it is an emergency then it can be done and treated simultaneously.
