Confirm diagnosis: The first thing is to be certain the diagnosis is correct. Oral yeast infections (thrush) are not common except in people who have recently been on antibiotics, are on immune-supresssing drugs, or otherwise immune deficient, e.g. AIDS, chemotherapy etc. A coated tongue, for example, usually is not yeast.
