It could be do to: A couple of things. If its dark it could be an ulcer. If its bright red then intestines. I would discuss with doc. Maybe it's the uc but don't let yourself get anemic. Good luck.

Why on prednisone: Why are you on Prednisone ? Based on your question I am assuming inflammatory bowel disease - no matter what reason if you are still bleeding call your physician and get re-evaluated.
