Two weeks ago i took prednisone for 4 days for bronchitis and cough. did not get get better qas prescribed prednisone again for 9 days. will that increase any chance of side effects taking it that long ? i also was given flovent hfa 44mcg inhaler?

There is always more potential of side effects the longer you take a medication. However, a total of 13 days is still a short course of prednisone and it is such a useful medication especially when it helps you breathe in situations of illness. The Flovent taken on an ongoing regular bases can help you not have the need for oral prednisone as often. Best to continue the Flovent even when better.
