How long does it take for prednisone to work for joint pain. i'm taking 10mg for 3 days then 20mg for the remainder of 2 weeks just started today?

Depends on cause: How quickly Prednisone works , if it works at all, depends on the cause of the joint pain. If you have an inflammatory arthritis like rheumatoid it may start helping within days. If you have severe bone on bone osteoarthritis it may not help at all that may only be helped with an injection into the joint.
