Medial Knee Pain: Medial knee pain after total knee replacement may be related to the replacement itself or component of the replacement. More commonly the mcl ligament or medial tendons around the knee that go to the per anserine bursal area can give you medial knee pain. Your surgeon should be able to help you decide where this pain is coming from and design an effective treatment program.

Could be impingment: If tissue inside the knee is getting caught between the implants, when you step on the leg you will feel a pinching sensation at the spot that it is occurring. Often tissue impingement takes care of itself with time - the tissue gets broken up by the process. Nsaids and steroid injections can shrink inflamed tissue. Check in with your surgeon.
