Maybe (not) . . .: The good news is that you're only 17yo. Even better is that you're not overweight and you've stopped eating a high sugar diet. While we don't have irrefutable evidence, chances are that no permanent damage has been done leading to issues later on. Best way to stay healthy is to eat right & exercise regularly. Mediterranean diet has good evidence. Strength, balance, flexibility & aerobics are key.
