Yes: Unfortunately all sugar is fuel for the bacteria that cause dental decay. Also the acidity in some foods - especially fruit - damages the enamel in teeth which speeds up tooth decay. Some good tricks are to reduce how frequently you snack, rinse your mouth with water after eating +/- chew gum after eating.
