Itchy tooth: The problem you are having is that your dentist has never heard of a tooth feeling itchy. A further discussion of exactly what you are feeling and the specific tissue you are feeling it in is suggested. Placing local anesthetic in area around tooth can be used as a diagnostic tool to isolate and better define the type of symptoms you are feeling.

Itchy??: Itchy is a strange description. The fit of the crown is proba bly not the cause of the "itchy" feeling. I suspect it may be a crack in the root or a failing root canal. Have it evaluated by our dentist.

Gums: Have your gums checked, the gum may be inflamed.

Can feel different: Sometimes after the crown is done can..Feel different for few days..As long as the bite and contacts are okay not tight or open..And if dentist said margins looked okay on xray..Should feel better in few days...If not than get it checked by your dentist..
