Turbinates: You have 3 sets of turbinates, and the lower, or inferior, ones usually cause the problems you describe. They can become enlarged due to inflammation or hypertrophy. If topical sprays or decongestants don't help, you may benefit from a turbinectomy, or removal of the lower turbinate(s). This will often solve the nasal obstruction. See an ent, or otolaryngologist, in consultation. Good luck!

Eustachian Tube: Hello, your case seems very complex. A simple answer is to say yes in that etd and turbinate dysfunction do co-exist in mucosal disease. The lining is the same and one condition can cause problems in both areas. A second opinion may be a good choice to get a fresh view of your condition. Before your appointment, gather your scans, office notes and test results for the new doctor. They'll thank you.
