A member asked:

Ear drums are in pain and i believe it is because my eustachian tubes are not functioning properly or they are swollen. what can i do to relieve the pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eustachian tube : A small tube goes from the back of your nose to your ears. = eustachian tube. When nose is plugged, tube gets blocked & gives you painful pressure in your ear(s). If pain persists, ear can become infected. If you have persistent/worsening pain, especially with fever, you should see a doc. Reduce your ear pain by treating allergies, drinking hot tea, gently blowing nose, maybe decongestant.
